What is the role of the school nurse?

~To attend school emergencies.

~To assess injuries at school such as fever, vomiting,

diarrhea, etc.

~To administer medications with proper forms from the physician /parent. 

What is the school nurse unable to do?

~Attend to injuries that occured at home and/or sporting events.

~Diagnose illnesses such strep throat, or rashes.

~Diagnose broken bones and/or sprains.
