What is the role of the school nurse?

-To attend school emergencies.

-To assess injuries at school such as fever, vomiting,

diarrhea, etc.

-To administer medications with proper forms from the physician /parent. 

What is the school nurse unable to do?

-Attend to injuries that occured at home and/or sporting events.

-Diagnose illnesses such strep throat, or rashes.

-Diagnose broken bones and/or sprains.
